Tips
Learn how to counter effectively, anticipate timing of opponents moves. Isolate your opponent leaving them no opportunity to tag in tag matches. Double team legally, get the person on the outside to interfere as much as is legally possible. Keep to the centre of the ring if you want to survive longer in Battle Royals and Royal Rumbles. Double team when someone is on the apron, having more people helping to eliminate gives you a greater chance of victory. Attack vulnerable or groggy opponents in Elimination Chamber matches to build up your meter enabling signature moves to be executed. Stay out of the way of the main action in Elimination Chamber matches.

Positives and Negatives
Positives
- Royal Rumble with up to 12 players!
- Can take customisable character online
- Lots of match types available online – if there’s a match you want, you’ve got it
- Customisable rules – can decide whether to allow user created content in matches or not, plus any other changes you want to make for the match
- 6 man matches available – Elimination Chamber, Money in the Bank to name two
- Classic wrestlers available
- Wrestlers look good
- You can download creations of other people and you can edit them and take online
- Classic wrestlers available
- Easy to get setup in a 1v1 match
- Given the multitude of options and creativity at your disposal there is great longevity in online play
- A nice mix of grapples, strikes, and counters.
- Authentic moves for wrestlers
- WWE by its nature is larger than life and lends itself well to online play
Negatives
- Online purchase code for more content. Full Online Access is 6.29 for any second hand or rented copies of the game! About 15% of the value of the RRP of a first hand copy
- Still not a complete Royal Rumble quota of 30 real players
- Can take a very long time to get into a Royal Rumble match
- No option to turn off chat in online lobby
- The crowd still look poor
- Too frequent disconnections (patches may resolve this)
- Crowd sounds don’t match action. You have won the Royal Rumble and you can hear a pin drop in a Diva’s cleavage!
- Royal Rumbles not as frenetic, action packed or populated as they should be. Simply Battle Royal’s by another name.
- Matches where entrances are ‘on’ can take 8 minutes before you actually play the game – and where there aren’t many people online and only these types of matches (with entrances ‘on’) it can be frustrating
- You probably won’t ever play in the majority of match types
- Commentary can be repetitive and annoying
- Too many Irish Whips and button bashing in the rumble
- ‘Championship Scrambles’ frequently end in draws, too difficult to pin opponents
